During lockdown I learnt how to solve the Rubik’s cube. I still can and it’s what set me on a path to tackle many other subjects, like Javascript, NGINX, Acoustic guitar, Elementor Pro, Premiere Pro, Google Cloud, Canva, and more recently After Effects and Fabric Analytics Engineering.
I am not particularly brilliant at any of these, but that’s not the point.
What I discovered on this learning journey is that WHO you learn from is crucial.
We need more great educators.
There is no shortage of online courses out there, a deluge of beginner courses on just about every subject.
Successful educators in the online course space today focus on guiding students from beginner to intermediate levels—going beyond the basics to provide practical, actionable skills that empower real progress.
People who are succeeding aren’t necessarily experts in the traditional sense. They are passionate subject matter professionals who enjoy sharing their knowledge and understand that in doing so, they grow their credibility, deepen their expertise, and create opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals.
Their success comes from their ability to teach, inspire, and continuously learn, not just from their mastery but from their willingness to engage and evolve.
